At mindful to a T., all practices, programs and workshops are designed to meet the needs of the individual or business, keeping a mindful eye on overall wellness and self care. Private clients are guided through an integrative practice 1) specific and complementary to their medical treatment plan or diagnosis; 2) to assist with pain management, and/or; 3) for daily wellness after a medical treatment plan is completed. Individualized programs and one-on-one self practices for those caring for loved ones at bedside or in hospice care or whose loved ones are dealing with life altering health issues are offered; we can also serve as a pre- and post-surgical coach to help individuals prepare for surgery.

At mindful to a T., we look at mindfulness with an eclectic eye! Workshops are designed to help professional groups work better together in order to thrive; individuals will learn how to live life more, live life well®. The sample workshops listed below fuse mindfulness with the arts, senses and style and can be tailored to meet your needs or we can develop something new especially for you and your organization. Be it for personal or professional growth, the experience with mindful to a T. will be uniquely mindful and memorable!

Mindful Listening: If mindfulness is being fully present in the moment without judgement or trying to change anything, then mindful listening is being fully present in the moment to connect with someone as they speak in order to hear what is being said without judgement or interruption. This highly interactive and energized session that includes guidance in incorporating mindfulness into a daily routine is great for team building or to help individuals interested in forming better bonds with people on either a professional or personal basis.

Mindfulness, Arts & Wellness: Bring mindfulness/mind body wellness services to the workplace, organization or retreat for all who wish to learn and practice creative and mindful self-care for resiliency and as a preventative health measure for themselves. Sessions include creating art without judgement and developing a daily practice; workshops can be one hour or developed as a full day experience.

scribeARTscrap.breathe®: A fresh and playful approach to the practices of mindfulness and journaling that also weaves creativity into one big book! Sessions include writing, creating art, scrap booking, story sharing, conversation, and breath work that leads to creative awareness, moments of personal and professional enlightenment, healing epiphanies, and more. Every session will incorporate breath work/mindful meditation.

Minding You - Caring for the Caregiver: Those serving as caregivers are focused on the wellness of others, often sacrificing their own well-being in the process; you can't pour from an empty cup! This workshop not only helps caregivers develop a plan of effective self-practices to cope with the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual stresses associated with caregiving, it also brings a catharsis through supportive self expression. Minding You is targeted for healthcare providers and those caring for loved ones at bedside or hospice care, or whose loved ones are dealing with life altering health issues. Minding You is delivered as either one-on-one sessions or in a group setting.

After Care, After Caring®:  This workshop, also offered as a one-on-one session, is an emotional and spiritual cocoon for the caregiver to step into after those cared for have passed on. Self (and group) care and comfort are emphasized as participants are guided through the development and practice of a plan to support them through the grieving process.

To keep yourself running on full, take 15! Get up, go out of your office or the home/place in which you work or are giving care to another. If you can go outdoors by all means GO! Leave thoughts of everything and your phone behind; find a comfortable place to sit, stand or recline. Begin taking some mindful breaths staying focused on the inhale and exhale of each moment. Then, as you continue to breath, allow your mind take you to a place you’ve been before or a place you imagine in your mind as long as it’s comforting and peaceful. Involve all of your senses…sight, sound, smell, etc. Be sure to focus on staying in the moment, bringing yourself back to this place in your head by clicking your heels three times (okay, I’m kidding) and repeating (not kidding) right here, right now OR fully present, in this moment as you inhale and exhale. Stay with it and when you’re ready, slowly return to your office or home base. Once there, before getting back to the rest of the day, sit still and take a few more breaths. Practice this exercise with a timer until your body is able to sense how much time has passed. The idea is to be able to spend The Selfish 15 mindfully with limited distractions.
